1. Send a signature-required letter to the father with an estimate attached. Don't threaten. Just ask for the money. Give him a deadline that would be after your operation and recuperation.2. Get your operation and recuperate.3. Assuming No. 1 doesn't work -- an it might -- send another letter mentioning that you will take him to small claims court.4. Assuming No. 3 doesn't work, fill out the small claims forms, attach your other letter, the estimate, and the police reports.5. Go to small claims court and get a judgment against him.6. Collect the money.I know you don't want to go to small claims. But the alternative is to put the claim in and spend your deductible. Your insurance claim would not be affected by the fact you know the perp.

send 1st police report to the ins co. sue parents for the 500. deductable & court costs.don't listen to any insurance ppl that r not a claim ajuster! ps I love SD.frm me @Fla
