In UK TaxThere is no inheritance tax on your estate when your wife inherits it. The question only arises when the surviving partner in a marriage (NB) dies.The same applies to CGT as transfers between husband and wife or vice versa are exempt.If a Financial Adviser' is trying to sell you insurance on this basis report him/her to the FSA - its a con!

Vb,in US life insurances are not taxed.get second opinion , ur getting sold something expensive.
