How can I find out if someone has life insurance on me, and if they do, is there any way I can cancel it? I am asking for a young friend of mine who is (rightfully so) afraid that her mother has taken out life insurance on her. Even if she did find out she was the insured on a life policy, only the owner of that policy can cancel or change the beneficiary. Checking with the MIB would be an exercise in futility. If she is seriously concerned about her life being in danger, she needs to seek legal protection.
